Conference delegates will enjoy the facilities available at The College of St. Scholastica. For most of the weekend we will be using the third floor of the Science Building. Additional facilities include Storm’s Den, the Mitchell Auditorium, the Science Auditorium, and the Greenview Dining Room. All of these areas are ADA accessible. If needed a Sign Language Interpreter may be used at any of these locations with clear visibility.

Wireless Internet
Wireless internet access is available in each of the boardrooms as well as at the hotel for the convenience of the delegates.

Boardrooms and Other Rooms
Technology equipment is available for each room per request.  Equipment available includes an Elmo text camera, video camera, TV, VHS/DVD player, overhead projector, etc. 

 

Boardrooms:


NCC: Science 3217
This classroom can hold up to 70 people in a boardroom setting. It contains a chalkboard, and projector screen. The NCC room is located on the third floor near the main entrance of the Science Building.

PCC: Science 3211
This classroom can hold up to 65 people in a boardroom setting.  It contains a chalkboard, projector screen, podium, and speakers. The PCC room is located on the third floor of the Science Building near the NCC room.

NRHH: Science 3209
This classroom can hold up to 65 people in a boardroom setting. It contains a chalkboard, and projector screen. The NRHH room is located across from the PCC room on the third floor of the Science Building.

Other Rooms:


Mitchell Auditorium: Located on the 1st floor of Tower
Opening and Closing Ceremonies will be held in the Mitchell Auditorium. The auditorium is capable of seating 580 people and has accommodations for people with handicaps and those that are hard of hearing. The foyer leading to the main entrance of the auditorium is capable of holding 150 people, and the side lobby is capable of holding 50 people.

Science Auditorium: Science 2122
Bid Presentations will be held in the Science Auditorium. The auditorium is accessible from three entrances.  The handicapped accessible entrance can be found on the first floor of the Science building. The other entrances are located on the second floor of the Science Building.  The auditorium is capable of seating 289 people. The seats are each equipped with side-board desks. The room is equipped with a chalkboard, a projector for film viewing, and Public Address (PA) System.

Greenview Dining Room (GDR) / Private Dining Room (PDR):
Located on the ground floor of Somers Residential Hall, this dining area will be used for Saturday night’s banquet. The large span of windows surrounding the dining room allows the students to enjoy the outdoors while experiencing a relaxing dining atmosphere. The dining room is capable of seating up to 370 people. 

Storm’s Den:
Located on the ground floor of Tower near the main entrance, this dining area can seat up to 350 people and will be the site of Saturday’s lunch buffet.

Caucuses:
Friday night’s caucuses will be held in the NCC boardroom and two lounge areas on the third floor of the Science Building

Restroom:
Restrooms are conveniently located on the third floor of the Science Building on either side of the boardrooms. The many stalls will assist in quick break by ensuring short lines.

Ceremonies:
The Opening and Closing Ceremonies will take place in the Mitchell Auditorium located in our Tower Hall.  The Closing Ceremony and the Banquet will be held in separate locations.  Entrances to the Auditorium are located on the first floor of Tower Hall.  It seats 580 individuals in cushioned seats with accommodations for those with handicaps and that are hard of hearing, making this the ideal location for our ceremonies.  Bathrooms are located just outside the doors to the auditorium that are also handicap accessible.  There is parking available outside of Tower Hall that will be reserved for schools choosing to drive themselves. The parking lot leads right to the Mitchell Auditorium entrance.
