Delegates of the Conference of Champions will arrive, check-in and lodge at the Edgewater Resort & Waterpark, Hotel & Conference Center.  The Edgewater is located just 2.3 miles (approximately seven minutes) away from our elegant campus. 

Directions from Edgewater to The College of St. Scholastica:

Leave the resort and take a left onto London Rd.

Turn right onto 21st Ave. E. at the first set of stop lights.

Drive up the hill to Woodland Ave. and turn right on to Woodland.

Follow Woodland Ave. to West College Street.

Turn left on College Street (it is the first left after the first set of stop lights on Woodland Ave).

Follow College Street past the University of Minnesota – Duluth on your right.

At the end of College Street is the entrance to The College of St. Scholastica.

Parking will be available in lots # 8 or 13, located near the Science Building, towards the left.

These parking lots will be denoted with a sign.

General Directions from Fargo ND to Duluth MN
Take US-10 heading east for about 113 miles, turn left on US highway 210 follow highway 210 through Brainerd, MN; Aitkin, MN.  Past Aitkin, Highway 210 turns right stay on Highway 210 all the way to Interstate 35 turn left onto I-35 North follow this to Duluth, MN.  Follow I-35 to the exit # 258 on 21st Ave E.  Turn left onto 21st Ave. E.  then a right on London Road. The Hotel will be on the right and marked with a sign indicating the conference.

Drive North on I-35, follow this to Duluth MN.  Follow I-35 to the exit # 258 on 21st Ave E.  Turn left onto 21st Ave. E.  then a right on London Road. The Hotel will be on the right and marked with a sign indicating the conference.

Take I-35 North to Kansas City and continue on I-35 to Duluth, MN.  Follow I-35 to the exit # 258 on 21st Ave E.  Turn left onto 21st Ave. E.  then a right on London Road. The Hotel will be on the right and marked with a sign indicating the conference.

Take I-80 to Des Moines IA.  Take I-35 North to Duluth, MN.  Follow I-35 to the exit # 258 on 21st Ave E.  Turn left onto 21st Ave. E.  then a right on London Road. The Hotel will be on the right and marked with a sign indicating the conference.

Take I-90 East to I-35.  Head North on I-35 to Duluth, MN.  Follow I-35 to the exit # 258 on 21st Ave E.  Turn left onto 21st Ave. E.  then a right on London Road. The Hotel will be on the right and marked with a sign indicating the conference.

Hospitals:

The nearest hospitals are: St. Luke’s Hospital, 1.4 miles from the Edgewater Resort and 2  miles from campus, and St. Mary’s Medical Center 2.7 miles from the resort, 2.1 miles from campus.

Air Transportation & Car Rental Agencies:

Duluth International Airport is the closest airport to the CSS campus.  It services flights from Northwest, Midwest, and Allegiant Air.  Rental cars are available at the terminal, or delegates may be picked up by conference staff, free of charge, per the delegate’s request.  The following rental agencies are available at the Duluth International Airport.

Security:

We have hired extra Securitas Security Guards on campus to help ensure safety, provide information, and render first aid if necessary.  The security office is located in the Student Union in Tower Hall, Room 19. 

Conference staff will be on duty acting as security at the Edgewater Resort & Waterpark, Hotel and Conference Center. We plan to have between five and ten staff members on watch at all times.

Local Law enforcement has been notified of the conference and is ready to help with any problems that could arise.
