About Us
The student senate or government is an essential group on any college campus. The Senate here at St. Scholastica is responsible for making important decisions that effect the lives of almost every student enrolled here, in one way or another.
The student senate currently has 34 seats, broken down as follows:
- Seven first-year students;
- Seven sophomore students;
- Seven junior students;
- Seven senior students;
- Two graduate students;
- Two transfer or previously studying-abroad students; and,
- A President and Executive Vice President (elected separately, and may be of any academic class).
The mission of The College of Saint Scholastica Student Senate is to facilitate and advocate for the effective training and support of past, present and future student leaders. The Student Senate will accomplish this by representing students and acting as a liaison between the College's Board of Trustees, Administration, Faculty/Staff, and other Minnesota Private Colleges.
